For this project, I designed and produced custom furniture for Braadstaal, a restaurant in The Hague. Drawing inspiration from my Wireframe collection, the furniture showcases rebar as the primary material, chosen for its strength and transparency. The restaurant tables feature rebar legs that appear solid yet remain visually open, allowing light and space to flow through.
In addition to the tables, I created a custom bar cabinet crafted entirely from rebar, designed to complement the overall aesthetic. A distinctive feature of the cabinet is its integration with lighting: the rebar structure is engineered to support a 60 kg industrial tube lamp, blending form and function seamlessly. This unique combination of materials and lighting enhances the ambiance, bringing an industrial edge that’s both functional and visually compelling.
